Introducing Macy's Charm Bar
I recently spoke to Macy, the Founder of Macy’s Permanent Jewellery, to discover the journey of her business and the delicate craft of permanent jewellery.
Since then, her business has grown incredibly, allowing her to launch a new sister brand – Macy's Charm Bar!
This service allows you to customise a piece of jewellery with a range of delicate charms. If you prefer gold or silver, a bracelet or a necklace, colourful or coordination, Macy’s Charm Bar allows you to create a truly unique piece of jewellery.
With the new year nearly among us, why not treat yourself to a gorgeous piece of jewellery that represents you?
Whether you would like the piece to reflect the year you’ve had, or picture what you would like 2026 to bring, your piece of jewellery will tell a story.
I spoke to Macy again to discover what makes Macy’s Charm Bar unique and how you can craft a piece that truly reflects who you are!
Macy’s Charm Bar is the ultimate one-stop destination for creating fun yet luxurious custom jewellery.
Whether you’re building a charm bracelet, anklet, or necklace, the whole experience is hands-on and playful. You simply choose your chain, pick the charms you adore most, and I put everything together into a beautifully finished, ready-to-wear piece.
Although Macy’s Charm Bar sits alongside Macy’s Permanent Jewellery, they remain two completely separate experiences.
I like to think of the Charm Bar as the little sister brand—intentionally designed with similar branding, colours, and style so the two clearly complement one another while still offering their own unique services.
The Charm Bar is a brilliant option for gifting, suitable for both children and adults. It is also wonderfully budget-friendly as you can add as much or as little as you like.
Your collection can grow over time, and the finished pieces tend to be chunkier, bolder, and perfect for those who prefer jewellery that isn’t worn continuously.
Permanent jewellery, on the other hand, is my more premium offering.
Its defining feature is, of course, that it’s permanent—but with that comes more durable metals, custom sizing, and an elevated selection of chains including dainty, delicate options.
I also offer real pearls, gemstones, and handmade elements, creating timeless pieces designed for everyday wear.
As you can see, both services are entirely different yet equally special.
They attract different customers, though many people—myself included—love both. I personally wear my permanent pieces for their dainty elegance, ease of wearing, and the beautiful real pearls and gemstones… but I also love throwing on my charm necklace for a fun, statement look to elevate an outfit, and my charm bracelet has become one of my everyday pieces too.
That said, my heart will always lie with the permanent jewellery, and that will continue to be my main focus moving forward, with the Charm Bar running alongside it.
However, I’ll currently be spending some time focusing on getting the Charm Bar up and running smoothly and taking on feedback from new customers about what charms or options you’d love to see next.
I want this to grow into something shaped by the people who enjoy it.
I introduced the Charm Bar because I wanted to offer something for everyone.
Permanent jewellery isn’t for everyone—whether it’s the permanence, the price point, or the delicate style—but the Charm Bar fills those gaps without overlapping.
I also noticed a local gap for a more refined, elevated take on charm jewellery. While many charm bars lean towards colourful or more ‘childlike’ styles, I curated my collection to feel luxurious, intentional, and still full of fun.
I can’t wait to see where this new addition leads, and I’m so excited to see the beautiful combinations my customers bring to life!
