Eufloria: A Drink Powered by Positivity, Wellness and Celebration
I don’t know about you, but there seems to be a growing number of health ‘trends’ that flood social media every time I open it – drink this every day, never eat this, only eat this once a week (you get the idea!) – it can become confusing.
Whether I decide to have a takeaway, a smoothie or a home cooked meal, social media always tells us that it’s not the right choice!
When did our diets start being controlled by what social media says, rather than what we enjoy and makes us feel good?
A few months ago, I discovered Eufloria: a sparkling botanical, non-alcoholic drink that is crafted to make you feel good physically and mentally while celebrating life.
The brand, which helps to support local charity Little Lifts, is driven by an inspirational story of positivity, joy and mindfulness.
I recently spoke to Amy and Kerri, the Founders of Eufloria, to discover the journey of the brand, the impact they have had so far and their plans for the future.
What inspired you to launch Eufloria?
Eufloria began as a shared journey between two best friends as we looked to turn a negative into a positive after both overcoming breast cancer.
We both refused to let cancer slow us down, rather it has made us more determined to live to the full, squeeze every ounce of fun we can out of life, and throw ourselves into a new adventure.
Our idea was inspired directly by our experiences of diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.
Anyone who has been on the cancer journey will know that it forces you to reassess everything, especially your relationship with alcohol.
Emotionally, too, we wanted to give our bodies the best chance to heal.
But giving up or reducing alcohol was easier said than done. Many of the alcohol alternatives we tried were either sugary, artificial, or simply unappealing. Plus we both really enjoy having the odd drink.
Nothing felt indulgent, elevating, or genuinely good for us. There was nothing that captured the “feel-good” moment without compromising on taste, health, or sophistication.
So, when we couldn’t find what we were looking for, our conversation turned to whether we could try to create it for ourselves.
Following a chance encounter with a herbalist of 40 years experience, many hours of recipe development in our home kitchens, and finding a local distillery that was willing to help us bring our idea to life, we are finding it a little surreal, to say the least, that we are now selling a range of three botanical sparkling drinks!
It is also a huge privilege that - through the profits from our sales - we get to raise money for Little Lifts, a Norwich based breast cancer charity that is very close to our hearts and of which we were both beneficiaries.
What is Eufloria's mission?
Eufloria is about celebration, fun and ‘sparkling naturally’. Natural ingredients that boost the body, mind and soul.
It’s all about celebrating life with a grown-up tasting drink and not feeling like you’re missing out.
We have been each other's cheerleaders throughout some of the hardest seasons life has hurled at us... and this is our way of making something super special out of that darkness.
What has the response been since launching the business?
Way beyond our expectations!
Raising more than £5,000 from our crowdfunding campaign with support from our family and friends really blew us away and it’s because of them that we were able to make our idea a reality.
We made our first sale in December 2025 and since then our feet have hardly touched the ground.
We were over the moon to launch in the Norfolk Food Hall in January and following a tasting event we did there on the first Saturday, we almost sold out and had to return with more stock the next day!
Our stocks are now running so low that we are doing our second production run - we can’t believe we even made one batch, so for it to have sold so well that we now need to make another is an amazing, surreal feeling!
Describe the process when creating your drinks.
Our early experiments happened in our kitchens in 2024.
We were interested in whether there was a way of replicating the feeling of having a drink, without the negative side of effects of alcohol.
We became human guinea pigs for a while, literally buying all sorts of supplements to test their effects, including CBD products and various nootropics. But as we’re not experts, the testing wasn’t scientific or consistent, and the process was very slow.
We were on the point of giving up when we had a chance encounter with a local herbalist of 40 years experience, Jill Davies, who steered us away from the trendy supplements and then the answer became obvious - go back to basics, with the herbs and botanicals provided by nature. Jill offered her time and expertise to recommend natural botanicals that would achieve our desired effects of boosting the body and mind.
We had always planned to have a range of 3 drinks - a ‘get up and go’ drink for the morning, an afternoon ‘pick me up’ and a relaxing evening drink. Once we had our list of herbs and botanicals that would suit all three from Jill, it was our job to make them taste good.
Cue kitchen tables heaving with jugs of herbal infusions, measuring syringes, weighing scales, our own still bubbling away on the hob distilling various herbs and a soda stream to make them fizz. Our kitchens smelt amazing but at times it also resembled a scene from Breaking Bad!
Our early recipe development featured many ‘taste of wet dog’ moments, or drinks so sludgy and dark in colour that no-one would ever want to drink them.
But with determination, persistence and an innovative process, we eventually ended up with three flavours that we really liked and are very proud that they contain no sugar or calories, just beneficial bioactive compounds from the botanicals used.
We kept this entire process a complete secret (we didn’t know if we would ever make it real at this point) so only had ourselves and our families to test it on. Ultimately, we created a range of drinks that we wanted to drink and that would give us an alcohol alternative.
The next step was to find out if they could even be made commercially and we were lucky enough to find a distillery just down the road, the Heart of Suffolk Distillery, who agreed to help us test the concept with fantastic results!
Following our successful crowdfunding campaign the distillery made the first ever batch of Eufloria. These were then carbonated and bottled by Humber Doucy Brewery in September / October 2025, resulting in 481 bottles of each flavour.
What impact do you wish for Eufloria to have?
We want Eufloria to be the ‘go to’ drink in people’s homes and in bars and restaurants. We want people to choice it instead of alcohol but also instead of a sugary soda or a no alcohol alternative that is sugary and full of artificial ingredients.
We want people to drink our bottles of goodness instead to give their bodies and minds a boost.
What is the biggest lesson you learnt since launching Eufloria (and how did you handle this)?
Kerri - The entire process has been a huge learning curve!
I think I’m learning to be less daunted by the financial, ‘maths’ side of things. Cash flow, Profit & Loss spreadsheets, stock taking and forecasting are all completely new concepts and at first, I just didn’t want to do them, and having always been very bad at maths at school, thought it would be beyond me.
Also, the sheer commitment and passion that we both bring. Juggling family life and our day jobs alongside getting the business off the ground. Thank goodness we have each other through it all to always pick each other up and keep each other laughing and making sure that we are always enjoying this and having fun - otherwise there is no point!
Amy – If you’d have told me five years ago that I’d one day not only imagine creating a no alcohol drink BUT actually physically do it…. I would have thought you were taking the complete Mickey.
Then again I never thought that I would get breast cancer at any age let alone 40 - but I did! Once you overcome something like that you can’t help but have the mindset that absolutely anything is possible and with that mentality the two of us have supported and encouraged each other to just “go for it” quite often saying “f**k it let’s just do it!”
So, I’ve learnt to embrace the absolute fear and do it anyway!
But without Kerri – I wouldn’t have even attempted it!
How does it feel to have your drink stocked at Norfolk Food Hall?
We genuinely couldn’t believe it when Norfolk Food Hall said they wanted to stock us and we jumped at the chance.
They were on our bucket list of places we’d love to have the product. On top of this, they have been so supportive and, as a new business finding our feet, this has been absolutely invaluable.
We are so grateful for the opportunity to learn about retail alongside people who we feel have our best interests at heart and want to see us succeed.
How important is your partnership with Little Lifts?
From the very beginning, we always knew that if we could make the drinks a reality, we would use them as a vehicle to give back to Little Lifts through sales.
We both benefited from their radiotherapy kindness boxes which help people going through breast cancer feel supported and that they are not alone.
Following treatment and recovery, Amy became a volunteer box packer for Little Lifts and has held several fundraising events which have raised tens of thousands. She has also supported them at events and been an ambassador for the charity.
We have also held fundraising events together for the charity during Breast Cancer Awareness Month for the last two years and will continue to hold fundraising events through Eufloria.
How important is it to raise awareness of breast cancer and its symptoms?
It’s absolutely vital so that it can be caught early.
It’s great that, thanks to social media, there is so much more awareness about regularly checking, particularly through the Feel It On The First Campaign.
We do think, that with any cancer diagnosis, you do question yourself - why did this happen to me, did I do something to cause this, were my choices to blame - and that can be very hard to deal with.
Our response to that is be grateful for every day we get to have and not dwell on it - you never know what is around the corner, it’s more important to enjoy life and make the most of every day.
What is the most rewarding part of running Eufloria?
Kerri - I get to spend loads of time and have lots of fun with my best friend and inspiration!
And in the last year of my forties, it’s so rewarding to learn new skills and have an amazing adventure.
Amy – Definitely working together with Kerri, knowing we’re putting a product out there that can do nothing but goodness.
I also feel we are setting a positive example to our children may they have the courage to pursue their dreams and, to our fellow supporters and cheerleaders and customers, without whom this would not be possible.
In a world that seems to be burdened by negativity, how important is it to you both that Eufloria conveys a positive message?
Eufloria is ALL about positivity and celebration!
We take a glitter ball (named Gloria) to all our events to remind us that life is for living. Our drinks may have been born from a negative experience, but the focus is on how you respond to that and move forward - and we choose fun, sparkle and positivity!
What plans do you have for 2026?
It’s easy to get carried away with plans so we have to keep reminding ourselves that this is our first year and we are still learning.
But - we will have our next batch of drinks in bottles. With these, we hope to be stocked in a few more retail outlets in the county and perhaps some pubs.
We also plan to attend a few local events, and we are currently developing a website.
The biggest challenge that we hope to achieve will be scaling up and getting the product into cans, as from there we can start to sell nationally!
